The Vietnamese – Japanese Student's Scientific Exchange Meeting (VJSE) is an annual event organized by the Vietnamese Youths and Students Association in Japan (VYSA) in collaboration with educational institutions in Japan. In the VJSE, students and scientists from two countries have opportunities to share outstanding scientific initiatives to promote cooperation in various fields.

For nearly 20 years, the VJSE has been held annually in big cities of Japan and Vietnam such as Osaka (2004, 2005, 2013), Kobe (2006, 2014), Kyoto (2008, 2015), Kyushu (2016), Tokyo (2009, 2017), Tohoku (2018), and Hanoi (Vietnam) (2019). Since its first organization in 2004, the conference has always been sponsored by the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Japan, the Consul General of Vietnam in Osaka-Japan, and the Minister of Science and Technology of Vietnam. With the remarkable success of the 11 previous events, the VJSE conference has affirmed its role as the official and largest academic exchange event for Vietnamese and Japanese students, young researchers, and scholars. The conference is considered a bridge between the two countries' scientific communities, contributing to the long-term and sustainable partnership between Vietnam and Japan.
